Skills and Talent

Led by the Regional Learning and Skills Partnership (RLSP) and focussing on high growth areas in the digital, construction, energy, smart manufacturing and health and wellbeing sectors, the Skills and Talent programme will deliver:

• 2,200 additional skills and development opportunities
• 14,000 upskilling opportunities
• At least 3,000 new apprenticeships
• 20 new courses frameworks
• At least 2 centres of excellence  

Working across the region and alongside partners from the private sector, higher and further education, schools and the third sector, the programme team are identifying gaps in current provision and establishing the changes needed to develop new courses and frameworks to meet these skill gaps.

Pilot projects are being developed and deployed which align to the needs of industry and the key SBCD themes.
