Marine Energy Engineering Centre of Excellence (MEECE)

Led by the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, MEECE is supporting innovative approaches by technology developers and their supply chains, capturing and embedding these innovations in Wales.

MEECE is working to put Wales and Welsh companies at the heart of the UK’s growing marine and offshore renewable energy sectors.

Based at Pembroke Dock, the centre delivers research, development and demonstration activities to support innovation in the offshore renewable energy supply chain, accelerating the commercialisation of the wave, tidal and offshore wind sectors.

ORE Catapult and High Value Manufacturing Catapult (HVMC) are responding to the offshore wind industrial growth plan showing ambitions for South Wales.

ORE Catapult is also supporting the inclusion of innovation activity in the Celtic Freeport and deployment of a network of hydrophones across the Celtic Sea.
