The Swansea Bay City Deal is providing new infrastructure to create jobs, sector growth and new opportunities for businesses.

Tenancy opportunities have been provided at many of the City Deal funded facilities.

Pentre Awel

Canolfan Pentre Awel led by Carmarthenshire County Council is the first development of its scope and size in Wales providing world-class medical research and health care delivery, supporting people to lead active and healthy lives. 

There will be flexible workspaces, high speed WiFi, meeting rooms and 24-hour access, all integrated around lush green parkland. There will also be onsite amenities including a gym and swimming pool, secure parking, and café.

BTC

The Bay Technology Centre is a 2,500 sq. meter hybrid building on Baglan Energy Park led by Neath Port Talbot Council and part of the Supporting Innovation and Low Carbon Growth programme. 

It provides a range of high quality, flexible, speculative office and laboratory space to support start-up businesses and indigenous business growth. There is a focus for businesses in the energy, digital and life sciences sectors.

71/72 Kingsway

71/72 Kingsway, part of the Swansea City and Waterfront project and led by Swansea Council, will provide space for 600 jobs in sectors including tech and digital.

Set over seven storeys, the 104,000 sq.ft building includes office and shared workspaces, an event hall and a café. It also includes a green rooftop terrace, solar panels, heat recovery systems, bike spaces, electric bike charging and extensive shower and changing facilities.

Matrix

The Innovation Matrix, part of the Swansea City and Waterfront project is a state-of-the-art building and eco-system focused on digital innovation, operated by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David in Swansea’s SA1 Innovation Quarter.

It offers a unique opportunity to connect with a vibrant innovation community of start-ups, businesses and researchers. There is cutting-edge facilities located in the adjacent campus buildings, and specialist technical support.

hangar annexe

Led by the Port of Milford Haven, Pembroke Dock Infrastructure, part of the Pembroke Dock Marine project is reshaping the physical infrastructure of Pembroke Port to ensure maximum operational efficiencies for UK industry.

The Sunderland Hangars have been a part of the historical landscape for many years, and have now been renovated to provide brand new office and workshop spaces.

Yr Egin

Canolfan S4C Yr Egin is a digital and creative hub, led by University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) and located on the campus in Carmarthen.

There is opportunity for freelancers or businesses to book desk space temporarily in the co-working space – either for the day or on a more regular basis.
