Workers due to be based at 71/72 Kingsway, the major new office scheme in Swansea, intend supporting other city centre businesses as much as possible.
Andrea Bovingdon and Victoria Hill, of flexible workspace provider IWG, are looking forward to visiting the city centre's cafes, shops and restaurants during their breaks when they move into the 71/72 Kingsway development.
IWG are among a number of tenants to have signed-up to the building, which is now 80% let. Financial company Futures First are also on board, along with travel and leisure company TUI.
Talks are advanced for all remaining space at the building, which can accommodate up to 600 workers.
Developed by Swansea Council, the 104,000 square foot scheme is being part-funded by the Swansea Bay City Deal.
Victoria said: "There are several advantages of working in the city centre - the choice for lunch and the closeness of shops, for example.
"One of its greatest assets is Swansea Market, where you can grab everything from artisan coffee and fresh produce to handmade gifts - and all while supporting local businesses.
"The independent cafés and small vendors dotted around the city centre including the Cwtch Café & Bar and Muswanna offer a warm welcome and great food, which is perfect for lunch breaks."
Both Victoria and Andrea are also impressed with the 71/72 Kingsway development itself, citing its 'attention to detail' and the ambition behind the project. They say it's not just a building but a 'bold step forward for Swansea'.
Andrea said: "There's also a great selection of cafes and restaurants for all your needs in the city centre, so this gives our clients great options if they're entertaining their own clients.
"With all the regeneration that's taking place, Swansea city centre is such an upcoming and vibrant place to be working.
"I'm especially looking forward to the transformation of Castle Square - it's a great spot to have your lunch and watch the world go by."
Mark Fender and Karim Walters, who both work for Savills - the 71/72 Kingsway building operator - are already working at the development.
Mark said: "I enjoy a bubble tea and my favourite place to go during breaks is Boobo on Plymouth Street.
"I've also found that there are plenty of businesses in the area that I'd previously overlooked. We've reached out and have already used a local printer on Walters Road and another in Picton Arcade. It's amazing what's available on our doorstep.
"With such a large building in this location and with the number of employees it will host, this will surely have a positive knock-on effect for other city centre businesses."
Karim said: "As I am now working in the city centre, it's easy for me to pop out at break time to get some lunch and look around clothes shops like Peacocks, River Island and Primark.
"Since being based here, I have also been introduced to a local noodle bar called ASAGA which I'd highly recommend.
"Local businesses will definitely benefit from the extra number of staff that will be working here five to seven days a week."
The 71/72 Kingsway scheme also includes an event hall and spaces for food and beverage businesses.
A green rooftop terrace with views over Swansea Bay also features, along with solar panels on top of the building and heat recovery systems to minimise energy use.
