The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has confirmed that its annual South Wales Small Business Conference will take place on Wednesday 3rd September 2025 at the Swansea.com stadium and the Swansea Bay City Deal will be one of the primary event sponsors.
The conference, which has become a cornerstone in the business calendar, will feature an exceptional lineup of speakers focusing on small business growth. The all-day event, which has been a sell-out over the past few years, will again this year provide powerful, practical guidance for small businesses attending.
Sponsored by the Swansea Bay City Deal, along with Welsh Government and the Ministry of Defence, and in partnership with Business News Wales, the conference is free to attend and is aimed at smaller businesses across a range of sectors.
Sponsoring this events presents an opportunity for the Swansea Bay City Deal to strengthen its prominence within the region and engage with the entrepreneurial community in South West Wales. It also reinforces the City Deal’s commitment to supporting local business growth and innovation, and acts as a platform to showcase progress and the opportunities available for small businesses.
It will be hosted by Gemma Casey, Editor of Business News Wales, FSB Wales’s media partner for this event, and the conference will feature sessions on several important subjects.
Specific areas covered include helping owners and managers get the fundamentals of their businesses right, ensuring a positive customer experience, maximising the effectiveness of business websites, considering how AI can help win business, and unlocking sales potential.
There will be a panel discussion with a range of entrepreneurs who have successfully grown their businesses, dedicated trade and business support stands and networking opportunities. It provides a key opportunity for small businesses to connect with peers, explore business partnerships, and access essential support services.
Rob Basini, Development Manager for FSB in South Wales, said:
