Success of Destination Renewables Pilot
The first pilot to be approved and completed by the Skills & Talent programme, this unique pilot brought together students in Pembrokeshire from 5-19 years old, along with companies in the renewable energy sector to create an industry led framework on Blue-Green Energy. Taught by Pembrokeshire College, Milford Haven Secondary School and Ysgol Harri Tudur it educated learners about renewable energy including wave, tidal, solar and offshore and onshore wind, helping to prepare them for a job in the sector.

• Finalist for 3 other industry accredited awards
• 1,350 individuals taught
• 30 higher skilled individuals gained qualifications
• 2 new career pathways opportunities created
• Rolled out and in delivery in 4 other colleges (NPTC Group of Colleges, Falmouth Marine school, Chelmsford College and Colchester Institute)
• In discussion for roll out with 2 other colleges
