After studying for a degree in Media and Journalism at Cardiff University for 3 years, Martha joined the Homes As Power Stations project as a Social Media and Marketing Apprentice for 2 years. Her role involves helping with the social media and marketing for the project, which includes creating graphics, press releases, organising and attending events and updating social media channels.
Martha hopes that through this apprenticeship opportunity she will develop essential skills and fantastic experiences to gain an understanding of the marketing sector and how to create successful and impactful marketing campaigns. She has started to achieve this by being able to work with a huge range of people within the industry and in other complementary sectors.

“I would encourage anyone thinking about applying for an apprentice opportunity to do so, and research the different sectors you are interested in before applying. There are so many great apprenticeships around that allow you to work directly with people in sectors you are interested in, and you’ll receive hands on experience whilst getting paid! An apprenticeship is a great way to enter the workforce as you are guaranteed to have a good support network around you that will teach you everything you need to know.”
